How many times can you say, “Glamping Girls’ Getaway” before the words start to run together + you get so utterly excited you can’t contain yourself? Try it, we dare you! Well today, it’s all about you + your gal pals, and one epic adventure! We’ve teamed up with the fine ladies (Jacquelyn, Abby & Leah) of Beijos Blog & Beijos Events to bring you the ultimate guide to AutoCamp, along with the hidden gem of Geurneville — located in Northern California (about an hour away from San Francisco, in an area which is technically wine country but more on the coast than Napa!).
From insane glamping accommodations, to touring all the quaint + picture perfect places in Guerneville — this is one trip we’d plan for immediately! The ladies spent the nights with more wine (after touring vineyards during the day), s’mores, and a fire outside of their airstreams. A mix of relaxation + exploring, which we think is perfect for a low-key girls’ weekend getaway!
Ready to see the adventure captured by Carlie Statsky? Let’s go!!
Okay dreamy little abode with the all white walls + minimalist accents… We kinda sorta love you!!
We would DEFINITELY “camp” here (okay, glamp, but they’re close-ish, right?).
Curious to know a little more about AutoCamp? It was created by California natives Neil DiPaola, Ryan Miller, and their team as a place for people who love nature + also a bit of luxury. They’ve got other locations in Santa Barbara as well as Sonoma, with a few others in the works! Though this location at AutoCamp Russian River doesn’t operate as a wedding venue, it may be possible at some of the future locations! A major plus? They do offer group bookings + retreats at Russian River.
Jacquelyn of Beijos shares: When I was planning our next Beijos Getaway I knew I wanted to stay at AutoCamp. I had followed them on Instagram and always thought it looked so amazing, glamping in a rad airstream or luxury tent in the gorgeous redwoods!? Count me in!! Well believe it or not it’s even better in person. The amenities at AutoCamp are really incredible. They seem to have thought of everything and the design of it all is perfection. Seriously, the bed was so comfy, at this point I don’t think any of us can go regular camping again!
Exploring the town of Guerneville
The town of Guerneville is a hidden gem located in the Russian River Valley of Sonoma County. Historically, the town was known for its logging community — having formed in the late 1800s, and today there are charming shops, restaurants, and wineries with a much-loved rustic feeling. Mixing towering redwoods with sparkling, cool waters, and laid-back attitudes, Guerneville was a popular vacation getaway for San Franciscans (by train) in the 1870s to the 1930s. Today, it’s got a hip, free-spirited vibe with all the cozy cabins, food stands, cafes reminiscent of the ’60s and more! With more than 50 wineries within a ~20-minute drive, it’s definitely a place for wine lovers!
Jacquelyn of Beijos shares: It has such great spots to visit like Boon Hotel, Big Bottom Market, El Barrio, Johnson’s Beach and Porter Bass Winery to name a few. Plus, everyone is so welcoming and sweet. Our first night we drove to Jenner to have dinner at The River’s End and we were all giddy pointing out how beautiful our surroundings were. The redwoods are such a sight to see, and the beauty of the Russian River is something else. The next day we explored what the town had to offer which was amazing food, cocktails, wine tasting, and beaches. Each of us can’t wait to go back to Guerneville and get to know the town even more! And definitely without a doubt, stay at AutoCamp!!
Introducing Big Bottom Market, one of the most iconic spots in town! The market was opened about six years ago, and functions as a place for locals and visitors to enjoy great food + wine. The biscuit mix and honey was recently named one of Oprah’s Favorite Things! And soon Big Bottom Market products will be available in stores nationwide.
The co-founder of Big Bottom Market, Michael Volpatt, met up with the ladies of Beijos and gave them a tour of the city. Jacquelyn shares He showed us all around his favorite spots which is how we knew where to go! Michael is such an influencer in the community up there, and he was basically our own personal tour guide for the day – we couldn’t have had more fun!
Michael’s Top 5 Spots to See in the Russian River Valley

2. The sunset at River’s End in Jenner
3. Johnson’s Beach (get the hot dog)
4. Wine Tasting at Porter Bass Winery

Stopping for tacos at a local taco trunk and a picnic lunch by river… Doesn’t get much better than that! And then to relax at the Boon Hotel + Spa — massage, anyone?!
Where else can you get the Russian River, the Redwoods and a close proximity to the coast, as well as some of the most amazing wineries in the world? Talk about dreamy…
This is El Barrio and we’re absolutely *HEAD OVER HEELS* for the décor! I mean, look at all the patterned tile! So cute!!
Be sure to stop by Guerneville Bank Club – a cute spot with a local lady’s homemade ice cream, a photo booth and a fun little shop!
The town is brimming with a lot of new art galleries + restaurants. It’s a very artsy and eclectic community, and a TON of good food. What more could you want?
Such a perfect place for a girls’ getaway, bachelorette party, or mini moon, don’t you think?!
